Stones shouldn't play for England until the World Cup | Called up again (pg13)

Its long overdue for him to realize who pays his wages and funds his periods on the treatment table and retire from international football which would also give him more recovery time during the international breaks His body isn't up to playing week in week out Pep said that we need players who can play twice a week, its evident that John isn't able. Three games in and he's got problems
What has he won with England? When he sits down with his grandkids and shows them his winner medals he wouldn't be getting any international ones out

By that argument though, he's probably got one last tournament to possibly change that?

I'm hoping that this is a sign of Tuchel and Stones being sensible. Calling him up and letting him leave possibly prompts less awkward questions than not calling him up at all.

On the past John would play both internationals and then come back weakened, so we can't complain much at this point. Let's see how he is and see how things progress.

So our best defender is injured again, after just three games. A blind man could see that we needed to strengthen in this area. His injury record is getting worse it’s gone 8, 12, 32 games missed over the last three seasons. What do we do, we send a centre half out on loan. Glad he’ll not be involved with England.

It does sound very precautionary and the sensible option, reading Tuchel's quotes.

If this was any other City player, i'd see it as good news and rested up for club games. But unfortunately with Stonesie, these 'minor' issues can tend to drag on for 3 months.

Hopefully this is everyone involved being sensible and managing his minutes well, with even the slightest hint of not being 100% and he goes home.

He’s missed 115 (513 days out injured) games through injury which puts him no higher than 5th on games missed for players who’ve played for City in the PL and no higher than 3rd for City players who’ve only played for City in the PL.

He’s way behind on days missed injured as well, surprisingly enough.

No prizes, but any ideas who the worst City ‘offenders’ are?

So regardless of the international break he would have probably missed tomorrow's fixture if we had one. So 3 games in and he's injured. Sorry but sentiment aside he is a liability
if he plays 3 out of every 4 games in the league, he will play around 29 times, not bad

Suprised he managed the minutes he had this season, usually his hamstrings turn to pulled pork the second he sees a training bib.

It's generally recognised that it is essential to have a settled back line but that can never be the case where Stones is involved. Constant disruption

Slim chance of Herr Tuchel & Team FA winning anything

He's been there all week if he's got niggles he should have withdrawn at the beginning of the week, like a lot off his team mates, it just shows his priorities
