IFif he plays 3 out of every 4 games in the league, he will play around 29 times, not bad

Was thinking the same especially as Tuchel was at the campus the other week watching us trainBy that argument though, he's probably got one last tournament to possibly change that?
I'm hoping that this is a sign of Tuchel and Stones being sensible. Calling him up and letting him leave possibly prompts less awkward questions than not calling him up at all.
On the past John would play both internationals and then come back weakened, so we can't complain much at this point. Let's see how he is and see how things progress.
Yeah, it does sound like he went hoping to play 'patched up' first and foremost rather than get out of Dodge and back to City as soon as possible.Slim chance of Herr Tuchel & Team FA winning anything
He's been there all week if he's got niggles he should have withdrawn at the beginning of the week, like a lot ion his team mates, it just show his priorities
We can’t recall him outside a transfer window.Vitor Reis needs recalling
He isn't our best defender. He has missed more than half of the available games since he came here. I said it countless times that relying on Stones is a stupid move, people like Marvin was having none of it but here we are again. Added to the fact that when playing he is hardly shining either. So our best defender is injured again, after just three games. A blind man could see that we needed to strengthen in this area. His injury record is getting worse it’s gone 8, 12, 32 games missed over the last three seasons. What do we do, we send a centre half out on loan. Glad he’ll not be involved with England.

It's possible, of course. Would you put money on that happening, though?if he plays 3 out of every 4 games in the league, he will play around 29 times, not bad
Haha I know what you mean but Johnny may as well retire from internationals if players needed a 10 game run without injuries.More control by the players parent clubs should be used when players are carrying injuries or just coming back from long-term injuries. Maybe a rule should be in place that you need to play more than 10 games for your club before being allowed to be made for selection after a long-term injury

Not a chance. Thus far he has played 3 games, with a full week between each one, and he’s already breaking down again.if he plays 3 out of every 4 games in the league, he will play around 29 times, not bad
Sooner rather than later. Its entirely predictable sadly.Honestly if you don’t laugh you’ll cry. Stevie Wonder could see that John Stones was gonna be injured sooner or later.
I will say fair play to John though cos he must be really injured if he won’t even pull on that magical England shirt that means he can play 3 games a week of 90 minutes in an international tournament.
It's hard to say if he's out best defender anymore. We've barely seen him for 2 years. I love Stones but I wouldn't say he's started the season particularly well. Not that any of the defenders have.So our best defender is injured again, after just three games. A blind man could see that we needed to strengthen in this area. When fit, admittedly not as much as we want, he is City's best central defender. He isn't our best defender. He has missed more than half of the available games since he came here. England have fuck all chance of winning the next WC.By that argument though, he's probably got one last tournament to possibly change that?

He isn't. Gvardiol is probably quite comfortably. Stones has been fit this season and his age and injuries are catching up to him sadly. He has never been a solid centre half for me. Very intelligent footballer but is no coincidence the treble year is when he excelled and not in a conventional centre back role. He needs a leader next to him to sure up a defence, he has never been that guy but obviously is a classy footballer. When fit, admittedly not as much as we want, he is City's best central defender.
He’s missed 115 (513 days out injured) games through injury which puts him no higher than 5th on games missed for players who’ve played for City in the PL and no higher than 3rd for City players who’ve only played for City in the PL.
He’s way behind on days missed injured as well, surprisingly enough.
No prizes, but any ideas who the worst City ‘offenders’ are?
