So far everyone's been realistic. The most optimistic ones are positive realists and the less optimistic doom and gloom its over now are negative realists.
I find that we keep ourselves rooted to possible outcomes swinging both ways, quite well. It is the years of training under the typical City hoodoo and having been mid-table, in relegation fights and in lower leagues and the title winner that was won by a hair's breadth. We also despise clubs who have this self belief divine right of winning titles, as we are the opposite of that.
Still, it doesn't stop us from having a good time. As long as we don't sing we're going to win the league before it's mathematically impossible then I'm all kosher for different levels of optimism.
The players, on the other hand, shouldn't get carried away. They are the ones that should focus. It is a bigger day for them after all.
