Stop it.

So far everyone's been realistic. The most optimistic ones are positive realists and the less optimistic doom and gloom its over now are negative realists.

I find that we keep ourselves rooted to possible outcomes swinging both ways, quite well. It is the years of training under the typical City hoodoo and having been mid-table, in relegation fights and in lower leagues and the title winner that was won by a hair's breadth. We also despise clubs who have this self belief divine right of winning titles, as we are the opposite of that.

Still, it doesn't stop us from having a good time. As long as we don't sing we're going to win the league before it's mathematically impossible then I'm all kosher for different levels of optimism.

The players, on the other hand, shouldn't get carried away. They are the ones that should focus. It is a bigger day for them after all.

Couldn't agree more. Let's not do what the CandeLAHbra's have been doing for the past couple of weeks. Came back to bite them this weekend, but it's still far from over.

No gloating !!

I believe we are a better team than Liverpool.

I believe Liverpool have been incredibly lucky over this season.

I believe that these things even themselves out over time... hence Stevie God's slip up against Chelsea...

Karma.

I believe Liverpool will have more negative Karma bestowed upon them because of all the cheating and diving and fouling at corners to say nothing of the classless, whinging post match comments from their Ugly Dwarf manager.

Guys,

Stop getting giddy and ahead of ourselves. People talking all manner of nonsense and looking ahead to the final day.

Taking the Everton game for granted.

Just like Wigan. Just like Wigan(again). Just like Sunderland.

Let's not be those fans. We can relax a little on Sat IF the 3 points are won, and then its over to Liverpool to see how they fare v Palace.

But lets not jump too far just yet.

Everton is a bloody big game, and a damn good team.

Focus.

Eh?

Are you talking to yourself?

Not one sign of giddiness on here, sure lots of piss taking against Liverpool, how about you just say the words to yourself rather than preaching to us

agree with this ! take the everton game first, that will be the biggest and most difficult game of the season i think. if we win that, which every single player will need to play a 10/10 then look at the west ham game, and actually make an atmosphere.

Agree. Most of us lived through the years of (old) 1st and 2nd Division, know "typical City" is always looking around the corner, and rarely lived up to fans expectations. Obviously things have changed, but the ones who taking the Everton game for granted are either born in 2008 or later, or suffer from very short memories. Maybe a look at the results at Everton over the past 8 years will put a bit of reality back in?

As for this season: non of Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Spurs, to name the top teams, have won at Goodison Park. A draw at EVerton for us is a good result, but it won't be now. Don't even think about the games left or the final outcome. Just praise we are back in it and not depending on others.

Spot the fuck on.

I can't repeat enough (and i said this dozens of times in the run-in two years ago) with United (then) and Liverpool (now) getting all over excited and giddy and singing "we're gonna win the league" at Blackburn (Rags two years ago) and Spurs onwards (Liverpool now) with their players (both clubs) displaying celebrations after games like they've already won it when there's so much still to play for.....we need to remain calm and focused.

Everyone needs to calm the fuck down!

The way i see it is that we have to completely forget about all the talk of "it's in our hands" "the Premier League trophy" "champions" "winning the league" finishing top" "we're going to do it"...ignore all of that. And just concentrate on Everton Football Club at Goodison Park, Everton, Liverpool at 17:30 on Saturday. that's it. Nowt else.

Let's go there and do the job we need to to win that game.

That's it for now. Nothing is in our hands at all yet.

Ignore the rest of the furore surrounding the run-in and concentrate!

Have I got this right, people can correct me if I am wrong.

So after waiting for 37 years bar the odd moment in lower league football, we finally have a team to get excited about and think we could actually win the title, again from what looked an unwinnable position, we are now told we can not get a little giddy or excited at the prospect with 3 games to go.

Fuck, is there any point in being a fan if you can't dream of lifting the trophy with 3 just games to go.
