Stop it.

Each game at a time please, that is how i take it.
I admit to having to temper myself with regards to looking matches ahead sometimes.
Never have i said "that is a banker" even if a few times in my head i have thought "bloody hell i can't see anything beyond us smashing these lot".
Just take each game at a time, simple format and saves your nerves...a little.

Everton will be a very tough game this saturday, but after that we still have a villa side that are fighting for their lives to avoid relegation, another banana skin if ever there was one, only when the final whistle goes at the Hammers game will I (hopefully) celebrate, or wonder where it all went pear shaped.

I thought QPR was a banker, never again will i make that mistake.

People are just happy we are back in it, not seen any people saying the league is won. Everyone acknowledges how tough it is at Everton, so all in all were staying pretty calm and grounded.

I think it was a former Everton Manager Gordon Hill who once famously told TV reporters that "there's a lot of hurdles to get over between now and the end of the season and it's my job to make sure the players keep their feet on the ground!"

Just saying.... ;)

One game at a time.
We need arsenal to win this evening, this may just deflate Everton a little but I doubt it.
I really hope our team are up for the task.

There was a determination to be seen in the team yesterday, obviously enhanced with the dippers result, but it was very noticable. I'm confident that the team acknowledge that it is there for the taking and will show the correct mental attitude.

God willing, we will prevail

Absolutely spot on

Guys,

Stop getting giddy and ahead of ourselves. People talking all manner of nonsense and looking ahead to the final day.

Taking the Everton game for granted.

Just like Wigan. Just like Wigan(again). Just like Sunderland.

Let's not be those fans. We can relax a little on Sat IF the 3 points are won, and then its over to Liverpool to see how they fare v Palace.

But lets not jump too far just yet.

Everton is a bloody big game, and a damn good team.

Focus.
Spot the fuck on.

I can't repeat enough (and i said this dozens of times in the run-in two years ago) with United (then) and Liverpool (now) getting all over excited and giddy and singing "we're gonna win the league" at Blackburn (Rags two years ago) and Spurs onwards (Liverpool now) with their players (both clubs) displaying celebrations after games like they've already won it when there's so much still to play for.....we need to remain calm and focused.

Everyone needs to calm the fuck down!

The way i see it is that we have to completely forget about all the talk of "the Premier League trophy" "champions" "winning the league" finishing top" "we're going to do it"...ignore all of that. And just concentrate on Everton Football Club at Goodison Park, Everton, Liverpool at 17:30 on Saturday. that's it. Nowt else.

Let's go there and do the job we need to to win that game.

That's it for now.

Ignore the rest of the furore surrounding the run-in and concentrate!

Which would be OK if that's what we were actually doing, can you point us to one thread saying this? Have we as fans actually organised a heroes welcome for the team bus for next Wednesday? Have we had the tee shirts printed?

What you are doing is projecting your own fears and insecurities on tot he rest of us, who on the whole are all very grounded and realistic

People thought Stoke was a banker, people thought QPR was a banker, people thought Wigan was a banker. People talk about it being "in our hands" but because the start of the next sentence begins with the word "if", I don't think anything is in our hands. We just have to take it a game at a time.
