Stop putting the ball out.

I'd respect kicking it out if there was a single example of a player being more seriously injured because play was allowed to continue. I've been watching football for 40 years and played for 30 and never saw a single incidence where the players didn't know almost instantly that it was a serious injury.

Its up to the referee to stop games for injuries not the players.

totally agree and if there is a bad injury which the ref hasnt seen you normally see one of the opposing players trying get the refs attention ,but for niggles play on every time

or change the rules so that the injured player has to wait 5mins before returning to play this will soon stop the cheats and if its a real injury 5 mins isnt going to heal it , the exception to this would be if the player took a knock from a bad challenge which cattermole certainly did not

don't know how there were 3 minutes of stoppage time when the Sunderland lad was on the ground at the end of the game for 2 minutes himself.

We should have played on and Cattermole should have been booked for feigning injury. He lay on the floor a yard from the goal line hoping the ball was put out of play for all the world crippled, however as the ball obviously wasn't put out quickly enough for his liking he got once the game was stopped and 'managed' to walk to the edge of the penalty area before collapsing again to the floor, after the magic sponge he was back on his feet and managed to be back on the field of play with no significant damage. Blatant gamesmanship and cheating.

Another poor piece of officiating in the game. Same as Larsson being booked for a tug back on Aguero however a similar pull back on Yaya prior to this went unpunished or Ji Dong-Won not receiving a yellow card for going in to the crowd following the goal. These didn't necessarily affect the outcome of the game but just showed the general poor and inconsistent standard of the officials in the game
