Stop Spending!!

Ok. By recruiting key players from opposing teams, we weaken them in the short term, and maximize our improvement in the short term. The key goal is top four, preferably this season. Even if the other teams spend all their cash they recieved from us, they will still have to hope the players they recruit live up to their fees, adapt to the league, and fit into the team. They may flop entirely, or just take time to adjust. So we, relatively speaking, should do well, this season. Beyond this season, well, being top dog is a pretty good ambition, even if the competition is getting weaker, but being top dog in the biggest baddest kennel of them all, the league everyone wants to watch, with the most competitive teams, the most money, a league where the villas and evertons are still improving, would be something else.

What do you want money or players? If they unearth a gem for us we'll take them off their hands too and give them some more scouting money lol!

By paying top money for premiership players we are in most cases liquefying the assets of otherwise underfunded clubs. We are floating the prem by injecting all the cash. This is a very bad idea. Much better to buy from overseas clubs and let the other prem clubs struggle for money.

It's better to spend the extra and get players who have prem experience. Foreign players are too risky to chance and there would be a City premium on any player in the world so may as well get a proven prem player.

no, you get your coat.

Think about the question again. By givins Villa a bunch of cash we gave them the funds to balance their team. Same goes for Arse and even Everton. We could loose to these teams next season. We will difinately not loose to Munchen or villa real or Milan. So there is no risk in giving them funds.

i understand the logic giving chelsea a reported 40 million for a near 29 year old with a glass back , however good he is, imo, is not great business. it seems a lot of money to show chelsea who the daddy is.

No no.... get your coat. Yes - we bought good players off Arsenal and Villa. Villa spent that £12M on Downing ffs and Asrenal are doing it on Chakmak (sp) or whatever his name is. Therefore, both are weaker for it.

So long as WE get the player WE want then it doesnt matter. Do not forget that we could have used that £12M to get Downing off Boro if we had wanted!

Think about it.

Why? Is the money sat in your bank account now? Thought not. Our owner has many more £££'s where those £40M came from. It is a signal of intent, a leader in the dressing room. Not just a centre back with a "glass back".

Ps - he is 28 so atleast get some of your facts right.

When you have got as much money as we have it doesn't really matter. If we wanted to we could buy Lescott and the replacement that Everton want him for.

Our main focus is top premier proven players, but I expect 1 or 2 outsiders with potential but proven in their leagues.
