Stopped from taking plastic bottle into the stadium

Been doing this for a while at M1. Insist on taking your bottle top off you but you can take your drink in as long as the top goes in the bin first.

I assume they think a closed bottle makes for a great missile, as they also take the top off any drinks they sell to you inside or pour them into a paper cup.

Play them at their own game and take a spare lid in your pocket?!!

The scousers weapon of choice was an empty pint glass was it not? Easier to load that up with coins of all shapes and sizes than a restrictive bottle neck. Common sense prevailing again I see.

The official reason will probably be because it's unopened, when you buy them inside they take the lids off and have for a while, presumably so it can't be used as a missile.
Inside the stadium they sell water with lids still on obviously they could become missiles. But I suspect that's OK due to the profits they make.

They stopped food and drink being taken in years ago, you just need to ide it better.
