Stopped Smoking

Quit a month and a half ago been struggling like hell not using any patches just chewing countless amount of Wrigley's chewing gum got shit load of mouth ulcers and blisters but I have quit in the past and normally make it to 3 months so I'm half way there now.

Keep at it mate.

Yep

Its the hardest thing I ever did.....gave up in the 80's and still fancy a ciggy. After a number of false starts me and the Mrs sat down and asked why we were giving up....we eventually decided that CASH was the answer. So we got a great big piece of graph paper on the wall and as we went along, each day would write down how much we saved so day 1 was £3 day 2 £6 and so on.

By the time we were into 6 months it was a fortune (and six months in it was really tough)

we had 3 foreign holidays that year...............................................

stick with it and well done

Never mind the cigarettes being addicted, my old man is now addicted to the nicorette chewing gum that's mean to help you give up the cigs :)

thanks guys...yeah im chewing up my gums like mad. Gave a load of shit to a cyclist before whilst driving as well, something i have never done before.

I just keep telling myself what i'm doing is a huge positive in life and im going to feel miles better as a result of it.

Was 5 months off them yesterday after 27 years. I went the pill route (no nicotine!!!). Have to say I feel great, smell great, taste my food great and fooking hate smokers now.....you low life losers lol :-). Keep it going dude, the cravings pass as quick as they appear, good luck !!

I stopped about 5 years ago & found going cold turkey was the best way. The first 3 or 4 days was murder but after that it wasn't too bad.

Stick with it.
