Stories of meeting City fans in unusual places

A few years ago we were in Toronto on holiday. The tour guide on the way there was telling us about the underground pathways and the variety of shops, store etc that were in them.

As I'm not much a breakfast eater but as the Mrs and meither in law are and the hotel we were staying in the lift went straight down to the PATH I thought one morning I'll go and have a mooch and have a look.

Well about 10 mins in and I see what I thought was a City shirt but thought "Nah, be some Hockey Jersey in a similar colour". Get's closer and low and behold it is. Went over to the bloke who was talking with a friend and simply said great shirt.

He looks at me for a second, then asked how I knew. Explain I was Blue from Manchester and showed him my City engraved Zippo. Had a chat and turns out he was involved in the Supporters branch. He did give me the details but never managed to make it due to the itinerary of our tour.
Great tale and also always wanted to see that weird subterranean world in Toronto

18 years ago, I was on holiday in Florida with my wife and son. We went into a shop to buy some film for our camera, as we started to look around the shop, we could hear someone singing blue moon. We looked but could only see the guy behind the counter, who was looking the other way, we carried on looking around and the singing started again. As we approached the counter the guy started to laugh. He had noticed my son's City shirt when we had walked in, he was related to Darren and Jason Beckford.
Longsight legends!

At the 2011 Cup Final there was a bloke in the row in front carrying a sign or banner celebrating the Egyptian revolution for democracy that year and nearby was a Blue from San Francisco. A year later they were both at the Etihad for QPR. Not the two venues that were unusual but how both guys, in fact all three of us, had come a long way for being City daft and be sitting feet away from each other.

Thanks.

@Barcon Will able to tell you all about it but it is crazy impressive.

Funnily enough as part of the tour we were on later that day was the Church that was put on stilts as the first point of development for what it has become.

They still get a % to this day. It’s probably one of the richest small churches going.

There are some great pics of it on the PAth website.

I was in Vietnam on holiday, arrived after a bastard of a journey was in a city shirt woman flew out from behind bar with drink singing blue moon. She was Thai and started supporting us when Thaksin took over only other thing I can remember was her name was Vi.
Questions:

You were in Vietnam or "in Vietnam' like "back when I was in 'Nam, man."?

Nevermind. I got the timeliness.

Next question, her name was six in Roman numerals?

I sat down in a bar in Turkey to watch the City v Wigan cup final and got talking to a couple about City. After a while they asked me if I ever came on this forum, when I said I did, they told me that they were Rics mum and dad.
Don't take this personally but there's more people claiming they're Ric's parents than there are Blues claiming to have been at York.
