Storm Eowyn

I thought storms go in alphabetical order through the season.
How have we jumped from E to H in the space of a week.
Have I just missed F and G?

It's a schism between Ireland and Spain namers. F and G were offered a week each in Benidorm.

I assume it's just that Herminia was named by the Spanish and have a different naming list - Eowyn wouldn't have been noticed by Spain.

James, Lewis and Mavis? Since when were they LOTR characters?
The full 2024/25 list is Ashley, Bert, Conall, Darragh, Éowyn, Floris, Gerben, Hugo, Izzy, James, Kayleigh, Lewis, Mavis, Naoise, Otje, Poppy, Rafi, Sayuri, Tilly, Vivienne, Wren.

(The names chosen by Met Éireann are in bold. Letters Q, U, X, Y, Z are not included, which is in line with the US National Hurricane Centre naming convention).

The ones highlighted were chosen by Met Éireann. Don’t know where Floris and Gerben went.
Apparently the Spanish Met Service chose Herminia.

Herminia will presumably have started in a region where the Spanish name them, further south than the list.

Probably the Dutch named some of them - the Irish, British and Dutch chose that list.

I think it should have been Galadriel after Eowyn. Aragorn, Boramir, Cahadras, Durin, Eowyn, Faramir, Galadriel…….much better fun.

We are still showing 15.00 on the 28/01 here in Scotland before it’s back on.
I have a friend (yes, really!) at work, a City fan from Hemel Hempstead (!) who lives about 7 or 8 minutes' drive, and they have a provisional time of next Saturday!

I'm not going to break open the babychams yet, though. Not until I can give the candles back to the local dips.

Just checked again. Been put back to 9pm on Thursday!

:-(
