Storm Eowyn

Our electricity in the rural parts of Ireland is still largely reliant on the on potatoe crop so when the wind blew away all our potatoes it left many on the without kettles, playstations and phone chargers. A national emmergency would already have been enforced if they hadn't recently been modernized and moved away from legacy donkey drawn power. Brits Out!
Huh?

Our relations in Oughterard are still without power. 100mph winds on the BBC weather app were forecast for them. Never seen that before and it delivered too. Heading over to Westport in two weeks for our annual meet, different location each year, and hoping all is well with them after this experience.
