sorry its a bit big but its worth a look , well done to everyone involved

Bit big? I want it 1650x1080 so I can have it as my desktop wallpaper. You haven't got a properly higher resolution one have you? I'd really appreciate it if you have.

drop us a PM with your email and i will send you the original

Could you upload it to mediafire? http://www.mediafire.com/ It's easy enough. Thanks if you can. That way other blues who might want it can have it as well.

I brought 5 bags full of ripped up blue & white paper and went down the 5 middle aisles in East Stand level 3 handing them out to people to throw. Most were well up for it although I got one guy asking "why should I do it? why don't you do it yourself?"... idiot.

Absolutely awesome atmosphere. I must admit, before I went into the ground I was a little worried as I'd seen absolutely no-one else carrying bags of ticker tape/paper around. A bit of a leap of faith, especially after I got stopped by the stewards for having so many bags, but hopefully this will be the first step to doing much more next season.

Well done to who came up with the idea and organised it.

Cheers mate, seriously. Looks absolutely fantastic as desktop wallpaper!

I should be on this picture and I can't find myself which is pretty ridiculous.

What happened to good old bog rolls?

The Health & Safety obsessed world we live in seems to have put a stop to them.

I took a bag full of crepe paper streamers in and even got questioned about them. Stewards outside said "no way" so I managed to get a senior steward the other side of the gate to take a look. TO be fair to him he tried to help and went off to find an even more senior steward to approve them.

To be honest anyone with reasonable judgement could work out you would struggle to do anyone any damage with a roll of crepe paper. But I would still publicly thank the steward who was willing to ask and check instead of just saying know.

Back to the question though, if they had been toilet rolls with a n inner cardboard tube they would have been lethal weapons :-)

I was disappointed that after all the work CFL had done and al the chats with the club that some of the stewards outside did not know about it, whereas others obviously did.

Trigger, if you read this, can you tell us if there was a clear communication to all you stewards to let you know. Was it a case that some just don't listen or don't they do a pre-match for guys on the gates ?

Anyway well done to CLF and everyone else. Looked brilliant and worth spending all Friday night cutting up. Cheers

Hi mate.

Nearly had an heart attack as I was walking in with my bags full to only hear the tanoy message, I got on the phone to my contact who said the police had got involved at the last min again. Soft rolls were no problem as were the streamers but at that time of the day it was a case of getting in and handing more out.

The club laid 100's of small bags out for me and had people filling small bags at each entrance in the ES. I then went in early with a couple of other Blues, one who had 20 tesco bags full of ticker tape, that is why around the NS loads came flying down.

Shame about the loo rolls but my god not a bad effort for a quick idea to come together.

Simple, cheap and in the Sunshine it was brilliant, I just wonder what it would look like in at a night match!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CITY FOR LIFE in Hiding from the cleaners :)

woz stood in me place in east level 1 (block 109) i turned to look over towards the north stand with all the ticker tape coming down in the sunshine with all the blue shirts in the back ground and just had a big grin on me face, woz an awsome sight well down CFL you should get a part time job at the club for thinking up and organizing more things like this!!!

I must have looked right fool.... walking up Ashton New Road with 48 bog rolls in 5 Sainsburys carrier bags.

...and then I get to the turnstile only to be told they were banned!!

Friend suggested we tear them into small pieces and claim they are ticker-tape..... but we'd probably still be there now tearing 'em up!

In the end I 'donated' them to a Security fella who will be wiping his arse for the next year at my expense!
