Why doesn't the Government just print a load more fivers?

They no longer need to. Banks can do it anyway electronically, thanks to a loophole...

i've been saying this for years on here

'ghost' money (as i like to call it) basically

it doesn't exist, it's used to create. then the inevitable - collapse.

It's where mortgages and loans and credit cards all come from though. It's essentially irreversible as a system, regardless of certain opposition to it.

Christine Blower NUT leader accepts inflation busting pay deal. Another union nose in the trough then. The Crowman's also getting more comfortable by the hour.
Now then remind us who pays for these £100k+ occupants of the Ivory Tower.

where more people earn around the same

some organisations for example have far too many grades ,harmonise the pay structure more. I'd slice a bit off the top and add it to the botom

complex stuff working out what a £100,000 pa wage to pay in tax

30% with an untaxed £15,000?

I'm not sure whether your thinking is based on the philosophy of Karl Marx, or, more likely, Groucho. The simple laws of supply and demand and natural progression seem to be alien, somehow.
Good chat though, do crack on.[/quote)

we're working things out here care to contribute?

In my wife's school only 3 teachers voted yes to a strike. The rest either said no or didn't bother. Still, the 3 that will strike will be on the gates and the rest will be working as usual.

The parents have been told that it's 'Business as Usual'.

I guess that's the way it should be. Those that want to strike can do so, while those that don't want to strike aren't forced to.

Ok. First thing you need to do is inform Tevez, Yaya Toure and David Silva they are now going to be paid the same as Northwich Victoria. Then to further achieve the equalistion you crave, all Managing Directors will henceforth receive 10p more than their underlings' receive on the minimum wage. All projected savings to company profits can then go towards ensuring we can all retire at 46 and have a stable burgeoning economy akin to the marvellous social model enjoyed in Cuba.
I'm sure more exciting initiatives can be dreamt up to assist in our next 7 year plan.

Ah, well, this 'bankrupt model' has been with the human race since the dawn of time. Your model collapsed in a far shorter time frame, so it's not entirely beyond the realms of possibilty that it does have the edge, somewhat.
