Perhaps Stuart Brennan could post the thought process behind using the Boateng photo as opposed to Uwe or Bert?

why would he bother coming back on here after the bollox written in this thread?

I doubt it's due to any perceived criticism on here.

I suspect it's because there is no explanation for the M.E.N. to use the photo they did, with the more suitable options they had at their disposal.

Not posted in a long while, but this is a funny thread.
The article itself hails Trautmann as the 'most famous' German to play for either club, so they have that right. The picture describes that moment as what Boateng will be most remembered for, which based on his non-performances in his short time is probably correct. It also implies that Boateng could be considered to be a bit of a ****, and with the article being made in reference to our national team playing Boateng's, maybe that was their goal? Too make current Germans look like cunts?

I'll answer it for him

"My colleague who chose the picture isn't a football supporter at all and was just having a bit of fun."

Don't tell me, his colleague is a muen rag!

No, not a rag, just a WUM
Mr Brennan's quote from earlier in this thread on a different MUEN story

Just had a quick look at that story online. It was written by Dianne Bourne who, as far as I am aware, is not really interested in football at all. She, no doubt, just saw it as a story given the rivalry between the clubs.
You view it as a City fan and get annoyed, and I am sure there are Utd fans out there who saw it through Red specs and got some satisfaction, but Dianne, and whichever wrote the headline, just saw it as a bit of fun.

Has Oakie sobered up yet

Sound as a pound mate even though we got beat at dominoes.
Any good/positive stories from my paper this morning as I`ve not been to collect my copy yet,so wouldn`t like to start a debate on how good it is without reading it.I assume the "mass " have already read their copies via the internet. When I say mass I acually mean"hypocrites" as they apparently would not be seen dead "paying" cash at a news vendor but would sooner "pay" via other means.
As my late Dad used to say "there`s nowt as queer as folk". ;)
