The Boateng picture has been addressed. Thanks for pointing it out to me

You should have shown a photo of Uwe scoring against the rags, you would have become a cult hero on here!

Sometimes you have to give Stuart some credit.

The offending picture has been changed.

Hopefully the said person won't make a similar mistake again.

I'm expecting emergency board meetings at the Etihad and MEN towers because of this thread. :-)

No excuse, the damage has been done, heard all these apologies before.

SB, I don't necessarily like the way that you portray our club and I stopped getting your paper many years ago due to the bias, real or not, that the paper gives. That is just my opinion and I'm not here to inflame any arguments.

What I will say is that I respect you for coming on here and standing your ground and trying to get over your case in the face of sometimes over the top, hostile comments.

Isn't living in a democracy great chaps.

Just trying to be diplomatic.

It's never been about Stuart as far as I'm concerned, even though he's had a couple of digs at me during this epic thread. I've not called him once.(I stand corrected on that point) It's been about the MEN.

If nothing else this thread has raised issues, and hopefully it will focus minds now and in the future?

This thread makes me a bit embarrassed to support City, and I don't feel like that very often.

Log off, Stuart, you are wasting your time with this lot.

DD the voice of the majority. If you feel embarrassed, maybe you should take your own advice and log off.

I can't agree, I've never wanted someone to log off, I don't always agree with DD and often don't but I value his input, I don't want SB to stop posting as it gives a different input, how squirty has a pie and a pint with him at the next game. You never get to know/get a real feeling to someone until you know them

I think it’s safe to come back on here, Stuart’s either gone for a power nap or he’s logged off to go and crack one off over a picture of Paddy Crerrand.

I agree with you, that this has never really been about Stuart Brennan. In the whole scheme of things he's wholly irrelevant. Despite the fact that he probably creams his power slacks every time he thinks of there being a thread on BM carrying his name, the anti City bias is so far ingrained into the MEN’s DNA that there is absolutely nothing that Stuart could do about it even if he wanted to; which clearly he doesn’t, despite his empty gesture to replace the Boateng photo.

To get to the root of the problem you need to go higher up the MEN food chain; up to Peter Spencer. Who else remembers his scandalous ’12 questions for Garry Cook’ article? If you don’t, try googling it and have a read. At the time it was an old time low for the MEN. Very disappointing therefore to think that since then the MEN has plummeted even further in its betrayal of the only football team to be located in Manchester.

You going to have the balls to say who you are? I'm not taking sides, but SB's shown some sand, you haven't, I don't know or met either of you as far as I know

I'd suggest there will be an audit trail of who chose that image. So finding the culprit and the reason behind it shouldn't be too difficult.

I vaguely remember another inappropriate MEN website article that attracted criticism. Apparently it was some trainee who was working a bank holiday graveyard shift that was responsible.

I'm not stating I believe the article, or more accurately the picture, were definitely chosen without bias or agenda. I'm sure it's entirely possible that someone did so in order to have a pop at City, in fact my rather lengthy post a little earlier in this thread has explained that I do believe City are given a rough ride by the MEN when compared to our red neighbours (albeit to a lesser degree than the media in general pander to United/attack City). All I'm saying is that there's no value in him guessing why the picture was used so, until he is able to ascertain the who then when and the why of it all it's better if he doesn't actually comment on that particular topic.

That's why I asked him to investigate and find out why. It's pretty much a prerequisite of being a journalist.

I can just see him running to the pic editor the the sub then the boss, demanding to know why they used the pic.

The journo has no say in what pics are used, or headlines or captions. And those that are responsible are hardly likely to appreciate their choice being questioned.

You appear to be someone who has an axe to grind with the MEN,more than you`re letting on.An ex employee who was sacked would be my wild guess.
