If Spencer can demand the answer of 12 questions from Cooke,Why can't Brennan demand the answers from Spencer to the 99 questions asked by the Colmore group to the United Board.Which led to the United takeover.Let us see that in print in the MUEN then we will see if there is any bias in that papers editorial staff.Come on Brennan start demanding answers.

Yeh well he's got a thick enough skin and the balls to come on here and see the stuff that's already been written in this thread so I doubt it and if you'd read any of Ric's stuff or the View from a blue blogs, you'd realise how far from the mark that 'someone off the street' analogy is (to name but two) :)

I agree with you, that this has never really been about Stuart Brennan. In the whole scheme of things he's wholly irrelevant. Despite the fact that he probably creams his power slacks every time he thinks of there being a thread on BM carrying his name, the anti City bias is so far ingrained into the MEN’s DNA that there is absolutely nothing that Stuart could do about it even if he wanted to; which clearly he doesn’t, despite his empty gesture to replace the Boateng photo.

To get to the root of the problem you need to go higher up the MEN food chain; up to Peter Spencer. Who else remembers his scandalous ’12 questions for Garry Cook’ article? If you don’t, try googling it and have a read. At the time it was an old time low for the MEN. Very disappointing therefore to think that since then the MEN has plummeted even further in its betrayal of the only football team to be located in Manchester.

You appear to be someone who has an axe to grind with the MEN,more than you`re letting on.An ex employee who was sacked would be my wild guess.

Maybe he's just a blue who says it as it is.
OK not Mr Brennans doing but his paper is a biased bag of shite. Nobody can deny that. Dont forget oakie one day the scum will not be winning things and the plastics the world over won't buy into reading papers,watching sky etc, its not in their nature. hey Stuart, here's an idea, why don't you let one of the city bloggers do an article in the paper once a week, there's plenty of good ones out there, I'm sure you know where to find them and it would probably make us feel better represented by the paper in general. The club's official website have been doing something similar for a while and no offence but it's a lot better than any of the stuff you lot write.

I'm not stating I believe the article, or more accurately the picture, were definitely chosen without bias or agenda. I'm sure it's entirely possible that someone did so in order to have a pop at City, in fact my rather lengthy post a little earlier in this thread has explained that I do believe City are given a rough ride by the MEN when compared to our red neighbours (albeit to a lesser degree than the media in general pander to United/attack City). All I'm saying is that there's no value in him guessing why the picture was used so, until he is able to ascertain the who then when and the why of it all it's better if he doesn't actually comment on that particular topic.

That's why I asked him to investigate and find out why. It's pretty much a prerequisite of being a journalist.

I can just see him running to the pic editor the the sub then the boss, demanding to know why they used the pic.

The journo has no say in what pics are used, or headlines or captions. And those that are responsible are hardly likely to appreciate their choice being questioned.

I don't know the internal chain of command within the MEN offices. Although I suspect there's some degree of accountability within departments. With respect to the MEN we're not talking about about an organisation the size of "The New York Times".

SB previously stated that it's a small team, so It shouldn't be (and consequently wasn't) too difficult to find the person responsible. SB added he told the person in question it was "silly" to use that image.

As for those responsible not likely to appreciate their judgement being questioned, perhaps they should try and get it right first time. The fact that it was eventually changed illustrates that it WAS the wrong choice.

Or are you going to try and vindicate your position by saying that image was the most appropriate they could have used?
