A lot of jobs appointed to based on past friendships or associations that never made any sense Pearce being one to England U21s and Ball under Lee another. Think there are a lot of chairman of football clubs and people in power at the FA as well who make easy choices based on managers they have heard of rather than any meaningful assessment process.I’d completely forgotten about his job with England!
