Stupid little things that bug you

Somebody dies now, they haven't "passed away" (which is the phrase used for the last god knows how many decades) because of the Americans they've "passed" instead - so we all have to use that now - why do we have to copy the yanks with everything?

You'd think that after giving them the Queens English they'd respect it and learn to use it properly. Should have left them with Spanish and see where that got them...;)

BBC fascination with the weather in the US - the other day they reported on flooding in Louisiana at beginning of the news and later forest fires in California. Last year we were in Spain during worse floods in living memory that affected 100,000's of tourists and ex pats and people died and it didn't get a mention on the BBC but on same day, BBC reported flooding in America with no loss of life!

Sifting through Tripadvisor reviews for relevant feedback rather than the indulgent venting that offer little to others - similar applies to Amazon
