haha. True. I actually feel sorry for the workers...i bet they get paid peanuts for loads of abuse. It's the companies that use them, that are at fault. It just doesn't work.And every single one of them is called Dave, even the women are called Dave.

Nil point.....Given that the thread is over 920 pages long, it's odds on that this has already been mentioned. But I'm not going to trawl through the whole thread to check. Anyway; people, when reading out a phone number saying "oh" seven eight etc etc. Oh is a letter, zero is a number.
Note the thread title; Stupid little things that bug you.

I dont mind the scots on most sky helplines or geordiesYou go through what the problem is....then they ask you again! I've got a real thick manc accent...it's difficult. They have really thick foreign accents! The best call centres are the old Geordie ones!

There's a guy rings up fron 3.Foreign call centres.
He is Indian- ish.
His voice is that high pitched, try as I night, I can't understand a bloody word he is saying.

Indeed. No problem with their grasp of the English language (truth be told, they probably have academically better English than what I do). But their accents can make it very difficult to understand them, particularly over the phone (it would almost definitely be easier dealing with them face to face).Foreign call centres.

Yeah, what could probably be sorted out in 10 minutes, seems to go on for days with the foreign call centres. It's that lack of understanding both ways. I have to tone down my accent for them: "t'internet int workin"Indeed.
