There is nothing more degrading than being introduced as a millionaire when your a multi millionaire.

I find it worse when people / social climbers who aren't wealthy pretend they are.

Or when they big their job up to make themselves sound important eg calling themselves a Manager when they are the only employee.

Why should anybody be interested in a stranger's wealth, be they a celebrity, "aristocracy", or Mr Smith from Acacia Avenue. It's THEIR money, and fuck all to do with anyone else.

House hunting programmes where the buyers have a large budget and the presenter shows them properties at about 1/2 their budget.
