Last time I looked there was a Scottish Parliament with very significant powers.I actually get what you are saying with regards to not being ruled or governed from London. If I were a Scot I would on balance at least consider voting to leave the UK if it meant no more Thatchers, Blairs or Camerons. To be truly independent if that is in anyway achievable and sustainable would surely be very tempting?
A vote to leave the UK in this instance is a vote that will likely lead to becoming an EU member. This will be further from independence than being a part of the UK ever would be.
