Fuck him, at the end of the day. No one player is bigger than the team. If he really thinks he can get parity with players seasoned internationals at the club then he can do one. What merits him getting the same salary as say Martin Petrov. A seasoned pro who has put the work in and has been sorely missed this season. What has sturridge done other than gain us a point at Blackburn away this season?

The lad is very injury prone and has an overly high opinion of himself. If he really thinks that he can get a better deal elsewhere, then let him go. There will many academy prospects that are as good if not better that will fill his boots. Either that or we go and spend some cash on a player who is actually worth 60K a week who will no doubt bang the goals in for us.
