he does look like a real talent lost to us though , and he could , in time , become as big a crowd favourite at Anfield as John Barnes was.
 
Not watching MOTD. Dive was in front of me. Doesn't matter what he says, when he does stuff like that.

he strikes me as a very selfish player, although he had a very very good game today

"As John Barnes was", of all the crowd favourites at Anfield why would you pick John Barnes ? Not criticizing just wondering where you pulled that one from.

About the only time i've seen him play well all season! - Agreed though he was decent today, although I do feel joe should have done better and could/should have got something on his shot to stop it going in!
 
He alluded to exactly what I've heard about his exit: he wanted to sign a new contract but mark Hughes and his staff felt his attitude was wrong so he wasn't offered one.

What a fuck up by the tafia.

Played really well and deserves congratulations for not celebrating and not rising to the abuse. i feel there are some ex players who really dont deserve it. Distin didnt either. Time to stop booing him, I think. We should never have let him go.
