Have to agree .... his attitude towards us after that interview deserves respect , although most won't forget why he went

he looks like a real talent lost to us , and he could , in time , become as big a crowd favourite at Anfield as John Barnes was.

"As John Barnes was", of all the crowd favourites at Anfield why would you pick John Barnes ? Not criticizing just wondering where you pulled that one from.

Just with them both being wide playing left footed players .... i see a number of similarities between the two of them.

He alluded to exactly what I've heard about his exit: he wanted to sign a new contract but mark Hughes and his staff felt his attitude was wrong so he wasn't offered one.

What a fuck up by the tafia.

Played really well and deserves congratulations for not celebrating and not rising to the abuse. i feel there are some ex players who really dont deserve it. Distin didnt either. Time to stop booing him, I think. We should never have let him go.

Well said.
Before he left there was a lot of talk about his attitude but I was bemused as to why we let a young talent go.

ask yourselves, what would you have rather done: sell Balotelli and continue with 3 strikers (as we have done), or sell Balotelli and sign Sturridge as a 4th striker?

He would have been a very good addition, had he not wanted to play every week

He's still a greedy bastard!
The Premier League is full of them, and over the last four years (including still, currently) our squad is full of them.
