Do you agree that if the ref had seen it and shown him the red card he would have got a 3 match ban ?
Under the current rules they cannot re referee an incident. Therefore they would not be able to punish him further. But because the referee missed it they hammer him with 10 games. That is not logical.

The FA does have power to increase the ban for violent conduct when a player has been sent off and it is considered that the normal 3 match ban is insufficient. So if Suarez had throttled Ivanovic to death, he would have been sent off and I suspect the FA would have increased the ban from the standard 3 matches.

I do agree with you that there are the inconsistencies you mention, but it is these inconsistencies that are wrong not Suarez's present ban which I think is about right considering the nature of the offence and the offender's previous.

Dude, I know this doesn't apply to your good self, but when I was a school and in the army there were a couple of individuals who labelled almost everyone a mard arse. They never used fuckwit, which is a glorious expression, but the pair of them were,, here we go, "The biggest *ucking tarts ", I'd had ever had to deal with up to that time. Totally irrational I know, but its up there with "Bright eyed and bushy tailed!", another statement that turns me(inwardly), into a deranged hispburd. It's not my place to tell people what to write, but If you can have pity on this poor soul, god will reward you!

No I am saying the FA dont act on some incidents that normal people deem serious but then hand out 10 game bans for this. I am accusing them of over acting becuase of the media and their own inconsistencies.

Not correct.
Sir Joseph Barton was sent off in the QPR game last season (remember that game? ;)
And was then hit with a lengthy ban that he skipped on by buggering off abroad.

My belief is that the Committee looked at his previous misdemeaners and thought "enough is enough"
Taking into account that he was still on "probation" for his spat with the Rag,really left the FA not much of an alternative.Come on,biting !! Other than spitting its equally as bad IMO.I think that Liverpool hoped that by him admitting to the assault,the FA would be lenient with the squirrel toothed git.
I`ll never forget his BAFTA Award winning "limp" once he realised what he`d done.
Sorry but I believe justice has been done and hopefully its a deterent.
