A better example:

You hire a driver for your firm.
At weekends, he does some taxi work, and get done for drink driving, and gets a ban.
He wasn't working for you at the time, but for another company. Can you reasonably expect him to be able to drive for you?

I can understand Liverpool not being happy, but they should sue Suarez in that case. He's the one that's caused this issue for them.

In a work situation he would be part of a disciplinary procedure and would be exited from the company as he was unable to do his job.So no I would not expect a driver to continue working as it would be against the law.

They are not an asset valued at 60 Million so different rules apply as is the norm in football.

Yes, I agree, football operates under different rules, particularly in light of his value to the club, but that is Liverpool's choice to stick with him.
One would assume there is sufficient provision in his contract to deal with these issues where they can terminate his contract or move him on. They clearly won't terminate his contract for the 60 million reasons you've said. But that's their choice.

Technically he still is subject to disciplinary procedures by his employer, but they'll choose not to be as harsh as a conventional employer would be.

I sympathise with LFC, but not much. It was reasonably foreseeable that he might commit another offence at some point, and that's what's happened.

Reminds me of Balo, always had your heart in your mouth worrying what he would do next.

I do wonder how much Liverpool have done to help Suarwz who is their biggest asset for a number of years. Seeing as he has twice bitten a player, head butted a ref and been banned for racism you would expect that they would have insisted on him having some help.
You would certainly hope that they have not just sat with their fingers crossed that it won't happen again. We all know how a few goals and all is forgotten in football!!

I'm sure they do a lot, but what can you do when you have a player like that? Balo was similar - once they are on that pitch, if the trigger is pulled, there's little you can do.
It must be soul destroying as a manager when you think you've cracked it... then he does it again.

To you and me, it's unprovoked, but who knows what is going on in his head... he might feel provoked by pure frustration.

I,ve seen some Liverpool fans have now decided that Sanchez is an ideal replacement for Suarez and they may use Suarez as bait to sign him. The "best player in the world by far" (their words) used as bait! How long would Suarez last in an El Classico match ?

You have a better chance of being bitten by Luis Suarez than you do a shark.

Be afraid.

The chance of being bitten by Suarez is zero... in the next four months.

I suspect that Liverpool were unable to help Suarez much because he elieves he hasn't a problem and is just a "do whatever it takes winner". And I suspect in that case they should have been ready to move him on on the last day of the season for mega money.

I have no sympathy for LFC.
