Bids for Suarez, Higuain and Interest in Rooney from Arsenal apparently. Would be a huge coup to sign even one of those. 2 and they're in dreamland.

Meanwhile, we're in for the mighty Negrado...

Yes, but Arsenal don't have any striker who are as good as Kun or Dzeko in their side, they are playing catch up.

Arsenal are in for superstar signings every year at season ticket renewal time but strangly sign unknown yougsters from france for the carling cup team ! Who are going to be the next big thing but disappear off the radar

Based on performances last season I would say giroud is a better player than dzeko.

Based on goals which is surely the primary function of a striker id say you're wrong

If you are going to be sarcastic at least spell his name correctly.

Suarez is worth nearer 40 million. If Arsenal are in the market for this type of player and Spurs are buying Villa and Paulinho we are by no means guaranteed CL qualification with Tevez leaving

Im sure arsenal and spurs will improve just as we have with fernandihno coming in but instead of saying the only reason we finished where we are is because other teams were bad how about it might be because we were pretty good and yeah weve lost tevez so be it but look at how many goals we scored before he went on his hols the season before last and as everyone says last season the prob was scoring goals and tevez was here all season then , so lets not discredit his contribution but say maybe he was a great all round player and put alot of heart in but maybe wasnt right for the system.

People can dress it up all they want regarding buying cheaper alternatives to the 'superstars' but fact is if we don't compete with the big guns then we shouldn't expect to dine at the top table. Like him or not Suarez would be immense at City. Maybe our plan isn't quite as ambitious as some might believe, and it's certainly about the long term and not the short. This isn't a bad thing but just worry slightly with the gap closing between our inferior competition.

My only slight issue with this seasons business to date is the fee for Fernandinho. We appeared to pay this happily yet are haggling and losing decent players over relatively small money. If we bought a Suarez or Bale would the commercial value soften the blow? Speculate to accumulate.
