With Sue's family not knowing the people she knew around Bluemoon, Mary D's etc, it felt only fair that her family share the time after the funeral with close friends and family and not a room full of strangers, which ultimately we are to them.

With that in mind, a large number of us have agreed to head to Shambles Square after the service. All are welcome to join us.

whereas i agree with you in the main when we were at sam's funeral his family actually asked us to follow on with them, we were all for going to a local pub or town but they asked us along with them.i think they wanted to see what bluemoon was all about and why sam was so hooked :)

i'll go with the flow though.

I've been informed that Sue's family are happy for Bluemoon friends to attend the service but afterwards is a private affair, and I respect this. This is why we have chosen to go to the Shambles as I know it was one of Sue's favourite places for meeting everyone. apologies for not making it clear in my original post .... I don't come on here often and still rather shocked by events.

then of course we should respect that, thanks for the heads up. i also agree with you about the shock, i simply can't get my head round it. this may sound daft but going to city will never be the same for me, yes we'll scream and shout and curse the ref and that but deep inside you think wtf its only football.

we have lost a great friend,a great blue and a great woman.

Couldn't have put it better myself my football days won't be the same now seeing sue's smily face and receiving one of her bear hugs :(

Re: With the saddest of hearts Please read pg 62

I've been away and have just seen this awful news. I never met either of them personally but have chatted on here to Sue. (I can't believe I'm typing this)..
I send my deepest sympathies to everyone who knew her. May they both rest in peace.

Waldorf from 5pm if anyone fancies it
It go out in town much, but is Shambles Square in the same place as the Waldorf?
Shambles Square is near the big wheel at the bottom of the Arndale

The Waldorf is up near Piccadilly Station

Re: With the saddest of hearts Please read pg 62

Regrettably work commitments mean I am unable to attend on Friday.

I only met Sue once but she was a fucking diamond and tolerated my excessive flirtation with much good grace. It is clear from that encounter and the comments on here that she was a truly special person and was most certainly, and always will be, the queen of Bluemoon and a proper blue.

RIP Sue xx
