If your best defender is someone who think it’s rational to be afraid of a possibility even if there’s a 0.000001% chance of failure then you aren’t a person who delves in logic.

It seems impossible to put all their thought plans into a logical plan.
Of course, the asylum checkers probably rate as civil service, and the govt also seem to detest the civil service.

I've said before that their current plan is little more than vandalism, which they will then claim that Labour are having to spend vast amounts to repair.

At this stage, it’s presumably damage limitation, though it often resembles a toddler wandering around with a loaded firearm.

With negligible growth and no likelihood of substantial borrowing, things are likely to stagnate in this manner for the foreseeable. Moreover, if you are a ‘skilled and talented’ migrant, of the type the U.K. apparently wishes to attract, would you consider the current environment attractive? Likely not.

What would you call the behaviour of a government that has a record of trying to introduce laws that reduce the power of the judiciary, removes peoples’ rights, break international law and try to deliberately divide the population by targeting a minority? Just because they’re not goose stepping around, burning books, murdering people and invading Poland doesn’t mean that some of their actions and behaviours aren’t fascistic.
