Suella Braverman - sacked as Home Secretary (p394)

Never hear it in real life, it's a sly dig and when someone tells them that they are sly cunts they get all upset about it.

What grinds my gears are the useful idiots who nod at them as if they are political giants making ground breaking statements. Imagine saying that about any other demographic?
I know. And that's what pisses me off.

The "white middle aged men" in my family were people who grafted hard to get out of Higher Broughton, who fought in two World Wars, who signed up to do Public Service and loved their families

The type of people who, it seems, are now fair game.

Be honest though. Even middle aged white men don't want to be middle aged white men. Small cocks stuck under their beer bellies and factor 50 when on holidays or you end up with a gammon tan.

That's all a different story isn't it? Never heard the phrase in real life and probably never will.

Only online, only online.

It’s only online as people don’t tend to mix with frothing people shouting aimlessly into the ether.

Some of these middle aged men are past middle age too. We shouldn’t discriminate.

That's the worst attempt at wumming I've ever seen, and that's saying something ;-)

Swap the wetherspoons and working men's clubs for the gay bars and you might overhear some of the regulars talk about their boyfriends?

Just thought of why diversity would be a good thing. More black and brown genes in the melting pot means gingers will eventually go extinct.

Should have quoted the original commentators/posters then, because it lost the context.

Anyway, I'm an ancestor of Irish immigrants that came to Manchester. I'm the third public servant in the family and we have a combined total of over 110 years service.

I also had another Irish ancestor (my great great grandfather) that came over as a navvie and helped build the Manchester Ship Canal.

And I have three brothers and a nephew who have served in the Armed Forces.

So whilst I completely understand your frustration, it was just the "colour" bit that pissed me off.
Now you have explained it...fine.
If it matters...I'm fucking sick of people saying "middle aged white men" as a derogatory term.

Fair enough. Wires get crossed and the reference I was making wasn’t clear. I apologise for being an arse.

I think based on what you’ve said, we would both agree with the idea that we would all understand eachother a little better if we stopped trying to box people into overly general and unhelpful categories. People are complicated and we all have our own experiences, context and opinions.

I try to consciously avoid labelling others but we’re all human and so I am capable of being as reactionary as the next guy. And rags exist, so there’s that.

Absolutely, and thanks for your reply.
