Seriously, for a moment, this going to be the lefts problem for the next two years - how can they accuse people who voted Brexit (for whatever reason) of being racist when the PM is a person of colour (as is his Home Secretary) and they both were ardent Brexiteers!

They don't even need to get into that argument. All 'the left' need to do is point out that social inequality since 2010 is at it worst since Dickensian times.

If they’ve already been rejected, they can be sent back to their country immediately.

The issue is with the wait for their applications to be heard.

I was watching TV earlier - Anneliese Dodds was shouting that we must have a General Election (totally forgetting about Gordon Brown) and I know this is going to cause trouble, but when the next election is looming all the Torys need to do is put that picture of Keir Starmer and Angela Rayner taking a knee (June 2020) on billboards everywhere & no matter how much a loaf of bread costs, they will win. Plus, if Anneliese Dodds is front and centre of the Labour campaign they will win by 50 seats. I can't understand how people on the left don't realise: politics is all about how people are perceived on TV, it has been so since about 1960. (Nixon/JFK)

Rishi Sunak is a good looking bloke and x% of people in this media age will vote for him (or rather his party) just because of that.
