I seriously should be hired to bring in players.I completely agree, but our recruitment has been so horrendous in the last 4/5 years that we need another big summer.
Bravo should have solved the goalkeeper issue, but we still need another goalkeeper.
£120 million on three centre backs (Stones, Mangala and Otamendi) should have absolutely nailed that position down, yet Kolarov had been our best centre back this season.
We haven't signed a full back under 25 for years and we're now in the position where all four full backs are over 30.
Fernandinho, Fernando and Delph were signed and we're still short on at least two centre midfielders.
Naval and Nolito have arrived, a back-up winger to Sane & Sterling is still required.
That's not even starting on the likes of Nastasic, Savic, Rodwell and Bony.
It's frightening how much money we've wasted since the title win in 2012. Absolutely frightening.

Doesn't have to be those 8 specifically, or even 8 specifically, those would be great choices that we are currently linked with though.
Point is, we brought in 6 last window and Pep will be given a blank cheque to go to town again. With a large number of players out of contract and an all but admission a new back five plus CM will be acquired, 8 isn't so unusual on the whole.

That makes a lot of sense to me. We could argue about the actual names, but you are bang on about the priority list. It is really time to do a large cut and replace the old guard.Ideally we would want (in order of importance):
A quality leader at CB (Bonucci, Pique, Alderweireld, Laporte etc)
Between 2 and 4 highly functional fullbacks (Rose, Grimaldo, Bernat, Kimmich, Henrichs, Fabinho, Mendy etc)
A deep lying playmaker (Weigl, Paredes, Kroos, Busquets, Dahoud)
A good sweeper keeper (Ederson)
Another quick, talented forward who can play across the front line (Coman, Mbappé, Dybala, Sanchez)
A tough defensive midfielder (Carvalho, Kessie)
A "plan b" striker (Llorente, Gomez)
A younger silva-type (Bernardo Silva, Isco)
However that's way too much of an overhaul. I don't see any top class regista types being available, but we have Gündogan, Fernandinho and Garcia coming through. Isco seems like a top target so I see that being a deal of opportunity to get such a top quality young player at a reasonable price. Another forward would be necessary if Agüero leaves, otherwise we could definitely make do with Kun/Gabriel/Sané/Sterling/Nolito + one (or 2) of our talented youngsters (Ünal, Moreno, Roberts, Sancho). We NEED to inject a bit more quality in to our defence, personally would like to see Sagna stay another year and Kolarov go it looks like it may be the other way around. We need a top top quality centre-back, Bonucci would be perfect although how likely he is to leave Juve is uncertain.

I don't think he's far off. Yes it's 300m but with the outs and wage savings I think this may be possible.

Absolutely agree but we don't have to get all our targets in this 1 window. Let's get the essential now, and we can address other holes in the squad the next summer.

300m would ridiculous.
We don't need many buys we have great academy players coming up. One thing I respect about Conte is he tried and failed to fit his players to an idealized system (4-4-2, and 4-1-4-1). Then he found 3-4-2-1 and found that suited his players strengths more (Chelsea's fb's are better defenders than attackers and hazard is a better attacker than defender so he maximized strengths and minimized weaknesses).
I think in the chelsea game (that we lost) Pep was on to something that utilized our best players, but because we lost (we should have won) he abandoned the formation. Next season he should consider the 3-4-2-1 again, because it is ideal for our squad, we have no good fbs.

This formation seems ideal for us next season, best part is we don't need to spend huge on FBs, just need a more solid CDM who can defend (Fabinho) and give wingbacks more attacking freedom.
This also allows patrick roberts to rotate with silva, Kelechi isn't a pure striker and can rotate with Aguero OR Jesus. The youth academy has set up this way for a while also with Sancho playing wing back sometimes as well.
I think many people hate 3 at the back, but we have the personnel for it, one reason it failed in the past is because Kolorov would push up (leaving 2 CBs) which he cannot do in this sytem, the back 3 have to stay back, Kolorov can play as one of the two CDMs if need be.
