Someone clinical who can play at least 2 positions across the forward line

we dont need a goal scoring midfielder to replace Dave - we have Foden and Pep has made it pretty clear that we wont be buying anyone to replace David Silva.

Agree on the forward however. Jesus is unconvincing despite his numerous and well documented positives

Agree on the need for defender (Koulibaly being the seemingly most preferential)

With Koulibaly price standing at £72 million before the auction and inevitable price increase, why don`t we just pass. our last right center backs are Kompany a midfielder Stones bought for his comfort on the ball and the belief he could play in midfield, Fernandinho a midfielder. Zakaria a defensive midfielder who has played center back and is very good at it, compared to stones and Koulibaly he is better than Stones in the air better than both in the tackle, has better awareness, better ball control and is a lot faster, so can play the high back line better without the injuries it causes.
Rodon it is going to be a thankless task backing up Laporte so buying a foreign player on high wages is foolish.
Tsmikas a left back who can do what Mendy Zinchenko and Angelino can, just faster and better defensively .
And all three for less than the eventual price of Koulibaly , and less wages

Kompany came to City as a defensive midfielder and got moved backwards, we never looked back:) bit harsh to say Fernandinho failed, he is just too old but it is fairly obvious in his younger days he would have thrived on Peps high back line

Yes, Fernandinho didn't fail. I know Kompany played as a dm, but pretty sure he was bought as a defender and was always earmarked to move into defence.

He did play his first few games a DM not sure if it was an injury or De Jong`s form that got Kmpany moved back
