Summer Transfers

Eto'O also played with Deco & Ronaldinho & Suarez' contributions are not only about his own goals scored but those he indirectly contributed to by opening up space for others as he was instrumental in both the 2nd treble and all the trophies that he's been a part of at the club so no point continuing with the revisionism

Not a team player, I don't think you understand how a team is formed then

Extend contract. Bravo 1 year. (Steffan hardly played last year so not ready neither is Muric to be 2nd Choice).
Loan Out: Eric Garcia, Yan Cuoto, Zack Steffan, Tommy Doyle and Muric.

Sell:
Patrick Robers £7 Million
Tosin £8 Million
Angelino £15 Million
Zinchenko £25 Million
Sane £60 Million

Buy:
David Alaba £40 Million
Bonnuci £25 Million
Adama Torare £60 Million

Net spent £10 Million

Team
Ederson/Bravo
Walker/Cancelo
Bonnuci/Stones
Laporte/Otamendi
Alaba/Mendy
Rodri/Fernan
KDB/Gundo
Bernie/Foden
Sterling/Adama
Mahrez/Bernie
Aguero/Jesus
You lost me at Bravo contract extension. Steffen impressed at Dusseldorf before his injury and is far superior to Bravo. Bravo is finished. We can find better than Bonucci and Adama as well.

Why on earth would we let Tosin go for 8m after a solid spell at Burnley? Would make much more sense to loan him out to a lower table PL club for a year and evaluate after that

Depends on Steffen injury, can see Bravo extension to cover that.
Would make more sense to bin him and his high wages and get someone HG to fix our HG quota. It's not like Bravo's performances warrants a foreign spot. If Villa or Bournemouth get relegated we can do a lot worse than Heaton or Ramsdale.

There are also foreign GK's like Gulacsi, Schemichel, Szczezny and Gollini who were at England when younger so they count as HG. Doubt any of them wants to move here to play second fiddle though

It wouldn’t can’t think of one homegrown keeper at our level or Bravos’s level to play in our system. So our second keeper won’t be homegrown while we have Pep and if Steffen isn’t fit then extending Bravo is the best option.

No revisionism mate, playing with deco and ronaldonho can"t be compared to playing with Iniesta and Xavi. Etoo's UCL trophies and UEFA finals man of the match awards speak for themselves mate. No need to derail this topic anyway we are talking City here.

Think you meant blackburn?

How does it compare to prime Iniesta, Xavi, Ronnie & Deco? It's a nonsensical perspective to suggest Suarez somehow benefited from more elite teammates

Well its a common knowledge in football that an attacker benefits from the quality of the team mates playing alongside him! playing Stephen Ireland behind Aguero wouldn't get you the same result as playing Kdb or Silva behind Aguero, anyone who thinks otherwise probably knows nothing about football.

Its a universal rule in the football world, a striker is only as good as the supply he gets from his team mates, comparing the assists Etoo got from Deco and Ronaldinho to the assists Suarez has gotten from Messi,Neymar, Iniesta and Xavi tells you all you need to know!
Even Messi the god of football has performed below expectations whenever he plays for his national team and that's because he doesn't have the luxury of playing with his Barca team mates on the national stage, so the supply he gets from the likes of Biglia and Dybala isn't the same as the supply he would get from Iniesta, Xavi , Rakitic! The supply makes the attackers job easier, its a fact, to say that is "nonsensical" would be very embarrassing as that goes to show a very poor knowledge of football on your part!

Etoo was in Barcelona when the tiki taka philosophy wasn't in full effect, played wit subpar midfielders and led the team to 2 ucl titles, won the golden boot and came third in the 2005 footballer of the year award, I am not so sure what's hard to understand or rather admit but like I said previously this isn't the place to discuss this, we are here to talk City so its best if we focus on discussing City transfer rumours, this topic seem to have gotten you a bit agitated, time to drop the argument and move on.

Muric could deffo serve as backup for a year again... Big Scott Carson might get another deal too, at least I hope so

If you look again, I have put Nico as 4th choice. Also remind you he was in team of the year for 2018. He has has 2 years on contract so difficult to move and Garcia is only 19 so he go out on loan and 90 % of the fans will agree he is not ready for starting 11 yet. Also tell me why you think he deserves to be in the squad ahead of Stones? As far as Koulibaly goes, pls go and check the Cavani and Jorgino threads. ;)
If you read my post properly mate I said,

Koulibaly stones GARCIA

I personally think stones is a good player but he needs a leader next to him not a kid or someone as rash as nico. Stones next to kompany or laporte very few issues, stones next to nico equals absolute shambles.

As for nico, he was in team of the year 2 years ago at his peak. Now he is to slow mentally and physically. His reactions arent as fast and at this level a little slower physically, a little slower reaction time and it shows.

As for cavani and jorgino (who chose to follow his manager) doesnt mean we cant buy a Napoli player that would be insane!!! It's like saying dont go for semedo coz we tried to buy messi and iniesta but barca said no.

Ederson needs someone to keep him on his toes - great keeper but was sloppy at times earlier this season.
Don’t think he was sloppy, on the other hand think Steffen may be the one to do that. While he is injured though then a Bravo extension is our best option even if it’s just until January. Don’t think any homegrown option is anywhere near good enough with their feet.

I just don't think a late 30s Bravo who except that one save in the Cup final has been tragic every time he's been between the posts is good enough anymore. If Ederson's got an injury I'd much rather have Muric who's actually got some reflexes over Bravo

Am I remembering incorrectly, or hasn't the Football is fixed blog alluded to Bravo before?
