Sunbeds Brown has been sacked!

Ludicrous decision by the Hull board, if true.

He got them promoted for the first time in their history, kept them up against all the odds, he's still likely to keep them up this season... what do the board expect him to do?

Be interesting who they bring in. But if they have ambitions of surviving they have to show more bottle than Burnley did in appointing Laws!

Jammy fucker, straight into a new job with this lot !

For anyone who cant see Sky Sports News

Skysports.com understands Phil Brown has been sacked as Hull City manager.

Brown's future at the KC Stadium has been the subject of speculation for some time and it appears the club's hierarchy have called time on his tenure at the club.

Hull find themselves involved in a battle to avoid relegation and they sit second from bottom of the table, three points adrift of safety.

It is understood the club have decided to part ways with Brown as they look to bring in a new man to help them secure survival in the Premier League.

Brown took charge of Hull in 2007 and guided them to the Premier League in his first full season in charge.

After a stunning start to life in the top flight the Tigers managed to avoid relegation on the final day of last season.

However, Hull have continued to struggle this campaign with the side finding themselves in the drop zone for most of the campaign.

Last week's much-publicised bust-up involving Jimmy Bullard and Nicky Barmby is also thought to have disappointed the club's board and they have decided to look for a new manager to take charge for the final nine games of the season.

Couldn`t have happened to a nicer guy, there will not be too many football fans around the country sad to hear this news.

He has really not left a good impression with many.

Can someone keep an eye on SSN news for us please and keep us up to date with what Harry Redknapp, Roy Keane, Sam Allardyce, Paul Merson and a host of fucking dimwits on the email/texts think of the decision please?

Mark Hughes will be asked to be caretaker manager.

Hull City AFC confirms that Phil Brown has been relieved of his managerial duties at the club and has been placed on gardening leave with immediate effect. Brian Horton and Steve Parkin will take charge of first-team duties until further notice.

We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Phil for the major success achieved during a period of four seasons in charge at the club and wish him every success for the future. Promotion to the Premier League in 2008 and retention of our status on the last day of the 2009 season are unique events in the history of Hull City AFC and both were achieved under Phil's stewardship during a period which will never be forgotten by all connected with the club.

However, retention of Premier League status is paramount and the board believes that a change in managerial direction is the correct option at this time. The club will keep supporters completely up-to-date in respect of any managerial appointment but, in the meantime, Brian Horton and Steve Parkin will prepare the team for our important game at Portsmouth next Saturday.

Chairman, Hull City AFC
