Sunday Supplement 17/18

I thought shreeves did well, asked lots of decent questions,Holts lack of awareness why clubs and players don't trust them was funny

Holt was saying Raheem gets unfair criticism due to national team

Just a pity he didn't write a bunch of articles saying that at the time instead of saying nowt. Can't remember what, or who, the article Shreeves held up as an example of unfair reporting was but Holt turned a funny shade of purple and dodged the chance to criticise a fellow hack. Shreeves, tbf, is far more pleasant on the ear than Neil Ashton.

2 blues Mullock and pittbrook fuckin hell miracles will never cease
Yeah but as already mentioned no City match to discuss. Will probably be back to Rags/Dippers next week in the aftermath of their titanic battle.
BTW did I read somewhere that Oliver Holt grew up a Blue in Wilmslow but has since lapsed?
Is he a part of the family that owns/owned Holts car maintenance products? Anti freeze, Radweld and such like?

Holt was a young blue & became a rag when they started being better than us.

I imagine he is considering his options nowardays.

Only watched it for about 3 minutes but questioned two points. One was Sterling getting booed at every ground for letting his country down. Bollocks. He gets booed because he dared to leave the media darlings and was ripped apart in most papers for it.
Secondly - England fans sang YNWA at Wembley before the Germany semifinal in 96. Now I wasn’t there and could be wrong but I find this incredibly hard to believe.

I don't recall England fans singing YNWA during Euro 96. I think it was Pitt-Brooke that mentioned it, and judging by the look of him he must have been very young in 96 so I wonder if read/heard that somewhere.

On Shreeves, I thought he was gash, talked too much and often talked over the person he asked a question to.

And the two City fans had an opportunity to very much point out the Sterling gets booed by more than just England fans - he pretty much gets it at every away ground.
