Enjoy Simon Schama while you can. He dared raise the “B” word so won’t be coming back soon. Wonder if Kuenssberg will mention that to Hunt.*

I believe the new narrative is to blame the fact that our economy is worse than everyone else’s on mistakes made by Truss during her 6 week tenure. Can’t possibly be B….t.

In fairness, there was more mention of Brexit in the post-interview discussion than there was of the disastrous mini-budget. Perhaps Schama has set the ball rolling and we’ll now see a more adult discussion of the subject.

Somehow they’re going with the line of everything being peachy for 12 years then Truss and Kwasi ‘broke all their great work‘ and now they’re going to ‘fix it’ for us. There’ll be a fair few falling for it as well. The past is another country, apparently.

Well Johnson got all the big decisions right apparently.

And some people don’t think he’s an idiot.
Nasty party playbook answers with the default…. blame the pandemic. It’s a good thing no other developed economy had to deal with the challenge. He must go home and crack open the whiskey every day.

In the bollocks to come this week on austerity cuts to us normal people I want somebody (anybody) to just to challenge and ask why our economy has been savaged by the decision on Brexit and further clattered by the now researched and reported £30b hit from the Tory mini budget. In both cases the Nasty party were in power. Forget the fact that labour supported Brexit and Truss was a loon YOU now today in power have led the country into at least 5 years of hell for normal people. Why should anybody vote for you and trust anything you say.

I suspect only Ian Blackford and Liz Saville-Roberts will connect the dots.

Labour supported Brexit? I must have missed that.

Fair enough support is to strong. Corbyn was heavily criticised during and after the 2016 vote or his lukewarm support for Remain. I remember he assessed his support for EU membership as seven out of ten. Hardly a robust challeng but not support for out so fair challenge Vic.
