Yes and we had more. Savinho had 1 vs 1 too, it was not bad attempt really, but predictable and keeper has quite easily closed the angle with his leg.Even though we were not the best in an attacking sense we did create enough chances to win the game.

Yes, thought they been exceptional. Every little positive challenge been applauded by them like a goal. I would say that yesterday they really took part of taking 2 points off us, just added a fuel to their players engine.Credit should go to the Sunderland fans.

Personally I thought it was a blatant foul as he was pulling Dias's shirt all the way through that run so I'm not surprised Dias came off second best.Disruptive and determined performance from a well coached Sunderland side . We are simply too lightweight to slap down these sort of tactics and we need a bit of bite to answer back . That one to one duel Diaz had with their centre forward on the break in the first half was like watching old football Vs pep ball in one moment.
Foden riding the churn in midfield was like watching a small dingy in a hurricane . Gvardiol was a game changer taking on the O'Reilly role and so good to see Rodri ( albeit a cautious Rodri ) back .
Thought the ref had a tough job but mainly did well , didn't buy lots of striped red shirts falling over like felled trees as the final whistle approached .

Sunderland weren’t really weakened that much except up front which looked obvious to me. They lost one senior defender and one senior midfielder but the replacements certainly looked capable and good luck to them. Le Bris is a decent manager and has the whole squad playing for him. It looks like all those who have gone to AFCON were new recruits over the summer (a couple of them have less than 5 games) so I am guessing the replacements who came in were either existing players from last season or junior players taking their opportunities.Did you see the game, and how hard Sunderland worked?
True sadly, I thoroughly enjoyed the game last night and some of the comments on here are baffling. We dropped 2 points and the injuries aren't good but it was a fun game to watch overall.The match day and post match threads confirm one thing. Exactly.Forest and Sunderland played out of their skins. They fought like animals. They would regard it as a triumph not to lose, at home, to Manchester City. And Sunderland did. We should take that as an index of where we are, and as a compliment.
