Sunderland have done effectively what we did but our debts were no where near as bad. Sunderland have ownership issues to be addressed, debts of almost £140m and a team in free fall. Without some sort of transfer budget Coleman (or anyone else) will struggle to rebuild them into a force capable of challenging for promotion. Unless the ownership and the debt issues are addressed they will struggle again next year. Real shame - decent set of supporters.
