Sunderland post match thread

Regardless of today's result. I don't think we deserved to win the title this year anyway. There were several slip ups that were inexplicable earlier in the season and to me; the title would have already been decided if it wasn't for those results. We haven't had to play beyond ourselves this year like we did on the title winning season. Most of it has been a cruise apart from a few ridiculous slip ups, the title would already be ours.

Today's result was irrelevant. Was a last chance saloon, but the following things are very questionable: the resting of Silva, the bringing on of Jovetic, Dzeko and Rodwell, and the taking Aguero off?

Keeps getting brought up by a couple people, then conveniently passed over in (rightfully) slating players and manager: by today's account, what makes you believe that our supporters deserve better?

Exactly. We have the worst home support in the league. We don't deserve the title over anyone.
 
Let me put it this way. If the atmosphere at anfield was similar to the atmosphere today, we would have beaten Liverpool 5-0. There was too much negative and complacent tension in the air. We have missed an opportunity to really play a role in another incredible fight to the title. Ultimately the players did not deliver today but the fans in the stadium should get more involved and understand thier roles as not just to sit down there and expect to get entertained but to inject encouragement and positive spirit into the players with great noise and support.

This has been an incredible unlucky season for us. We have fallen short in every, I mean every important moment of the season, from Chelsea at home to the next game , up until today, we have not managed to get over the line and have lost all the way. This is even more terrible considering the fact that this was a good season to really dominate the league.

It is not over until it is over and I think Crystal Palace will make more headlines between now and the end of the season. So lets wait and see what happens.
 
Milner should of played in the middle there was a problem in centre midfield IMO they had far to much time and cut through us quite a few times.pellars got it all wrong tonight in a must win game.there hasn't been enough improvement with him than with mancini IMO.he spent 100 million more and this season will go down as a dissapointment.that Wigan game them early shocking results and tonight are enough to see he,s not the right man.a good manager yes but not a great one and that's what we need a winner
 
I do not understand how a team that competes to win the league championship, is unable to win over the team in last place? Sunderland took five points from us, five points that was enough to put us in first place

Couldn't give a shit about winning the league. As I said I have a problem with our players looking and playing like a bunch of mercenaries who don't give a fuck. I coped quite well when we were shit because I didn't have the expectation to win anything. Now I do have the expectation to at least fucking out a shift in. Or is that too much to ask for £27m players like Dzeko? To actually bust a bollock. I'd take De Jong and Tevez battling for every ball and losing over the lazy fuckers currently robbing us blind.

Trouble is if we play well and win, it gives you fuck all to moan about. You're nowhere to be seen.
So I'd thought you'd be fucking thankful for this shit.

Garcia played well. There are plenty of players who did not play well without slating the usual suspects.
