Interesting to see Kolo Touré get as much game time as he does at the moment, unlike last year, when Lescott was preferred. I wonder what lies behind this sudden change..
Yeah its a hard one to understand especially since we had the best defensive record last year. I feel sorry for Lescott.

Must be something personal I think..

Plus his contract is ending so it's not to put him in the shop window.

Keeping him fresh for when Kolo goes to the ACON.

Yeah, that is a possible reason. But still, I don't think that's the only thing that lies behind. I think that Lescott would have played a bit more if that was the only reason.

Nothing to do with that, Lescott is a liability on the ball, he is a great defender but poor footballer. Nasty is a better passer and footballer, he may not be as good a defender as Joleon yet, but if Nasty is playing and Vinnie is injured, Bobby will pick a right footer and not have 2 lefties.

Easy ones left footed ones right footed if Nasty get rested or injured then we'll know how Mancini feels about Lescot at the moment he's only behind Nasty

Must admit, I haven't considered that until now..

Makes perfect sense to me, play Kolo twice a week, more than adequate defender, and if he gets a knock or an injury we have lost nothing and Lescott comes back in.
