We played great football, mostly passed well, maybe could've shot sometimes instead of pass and looked good.
Sunderland put their life's on the line, they dived, blocked, closed down and parked the bus.
The foul on Zaba wasn't given and they fluked a goal under Joes arm and yes he then went on to make some excellent saves. I counted 11 blocks by Sunderland players on a goal bound ball and at least half a dozen super stops by Mignolet. On another day we could've had at least 6.
We were unlucky not disappointing.
It happens in football. Ask Barcelona when Celtic did them or when Chelski parked the bus against them and got the result. These things happen, there is no God given right to win.
True, I did spend the first 30 minutes thinking how well we were playing. But the criticism you read isn't about yesterday. We've been sub par all season and when we lose it just makes people reflect on the fact that something is not right. Had we been 7 points clear and scoring for fun, and then lost yesterday, I doubt you would have seen the same reaction.
