Sunderland Vs City Post match Discussion Thread

Our away performances have generally been better and more positive this season, obviously apart from the defensive/goalkeeping blunders costing us games.

But todays game had all the hallmarks of a Mancini away performance = slow tempo & lazy lack of effort, highlighted from a no show from yaya.

Theres some on here having a go at lescott, but Demichelis runs like 60 year old playing 5-A-side and should of done better for their goal.

You mean he runs like a mid-thirties bloke playing in the fastest league in the world

So disappointed. Stood in the stadium of shite for the first 15 mins and the atmosphere was brilliant, load of support for the lads until they managed to squeeze all the enthusiasm out of the blues there with their insipid performance. We had so much possession it was embarrassing but at times all 20 outfield players were standing stock still; no movement, nada, nowt, zero, fuck all. The only one looking to add some spice to the mix was Nasri, everyone else just didn't cut it. Even Micah seemed to have forgotten how to overlap properly and at one point had to be reminded by Demichelis that he was actually allowed to run into space behind their FB.

Awful. And they were there for the taking cos if the first had gone in I reckon their heads would have gone down and we could have carried on the recent goal fest.

Don't think Ill go to SoL again.

Pantilimon- 5- Not at fault for anything, didn't have much to do.

Richards -3- Fucking shite.

Demichellis - 6 - Did okay.

Lescott - 4 - Shit on the ball but defended okay.

Kolarov - 5 - Average game.

Garcia - 2 - Sell this useless fucker now.

Yaya - 4 - Lazy performance.

Nasri - 6 - Did okay, lack of movement from his colleagues didn't help.

Milner - 4 - Worst I've seen him play first half, did better second.

Aguero - 6 - No room to move, went past a few players though, and set up Navas on a plate.

Negredo - 4 - Worst game in a City shirt, movement was poor and didn't offer much.

Subs:

Navas - 6 - Some nice crosses, looked my direct, should have scored though.

Dzeko - 6 - Nice shot, didn't do anything wrong but didn't do enough.

Zabaleta - 6 - Linked up nicely with Navas, much better than Richards, crossing should be better though.

Right we all need some perspective. Sunderland should have been down to 10 men, and Milner was fouled for their goal. Every game we have lost this year, we have
dominated and been unlucky - look at the Chelsea game.... We will come good, because on our day we are the best side. We don't need luck to scrape wins, we just need to do what we are doing and things will change. Teams like United won't suddenly play great football, every dog has its day and todays, yet again was Sunderlands.

Match report in the Telegraph describes us as "arrogant"....fair comment I think after that non-performance

It's spot on we play at home and destroy opponents and the following week we go away from home and saunter around the pitch
