Sunderland Vs City Post match Discussion Thread

If we can stop conceding sloppy goals, mitigate individual errors and avoid getting so many defensive injuries I think we will be ok. Not panicking too much yet.

Keep the faith blues.

Doing all of the above will achieve very little, until our players understand they cannot win away games unless they give 100% from the first minute til the last. We're a big scalp for many teams now, and our players mindset has to change.

Nothing against Pants but no way Bardsley would have scored that goal with Hart in nets

Had a clear goal disallowed against Arsenal, would have brought it back to 2-2, might have changed that result... Should have beat your city rivals, probably would have but for Januzaj, Rooney & RVP both asleep that day... You know what they say, when it rains it pours...

Personally think Poyet will get us playing football again, has definitely started to, hope it's enough to secure our safety come May but we'll just have to see...

Yeah, lots of football from your lot today, reminded me a bit of the Ajax early 70's total football....not. A bit like the football you played at Hull last week as well? Frankly, Sunderland are tedious to watch.

You don't have to tell me mate, but we are improving, especially as I say at home.

improving ? from where/what point ? from when mancini was I charge ? we are going backwards, in the context of the pellegrini era we might be improving but that's not entirely a positive when you see how far we have slipped.

I will say what I have been saying all season, despite some big wins, pellegrini has no pedigree or history of success and that won't change with city. no one has yet to answer this, "why would it ?"

Sunderland played well today and very much deserved what they got from the game.
That said we were decidedly average to say the least.
This high line defence having carte blanche for every match will fuckin ruin us.
The only thing that's pissed me off more than the result was having to listen to that c:unt Quinn.
I've never said a word against him before but fuck me if ever I hear his voice again it'll be a day to soon.

And what are you basing that on? Him getting beat at his near post twice against Bayern? Or maybe him running out of his box to gift Torres an empty net? Or maybe him getting bullied by Cardiff players in his own goal mouth? Or maybe him running out and impersonating a lamp post against Aston Villa?

I don't feel that goalkeeping should be a scapegoat for today's poor performance, we should have more than enough ability to score against Sunderland - everybody else has.
