Sunderland Vs City Post match Discussion Thread

What happens if our home form starts to falter, we cant win every game, we`d then be looking down not up.

I'm f**ked off, we were W*NK.

Manager totally to blame for changing 4 out of 5 of the defensive players (again), and playing 5 subs at once. We were clueless in the final third, (nl blame on Sergio who tried) average in midfield, and the defence jittery.

Play your best available 11 Manuel, this is not La Liga ! And stop tinkering with the back 4/5, yes I know there are injuries, but don't change those that are not injured, best available 11, its quite simple. Micah in particular does my head in, only interested in attacking, makes a poor challenge, then stands watching Milner try to catch Bardsley, when he should have been busting a gut to get back in position, he does it time and again.

We weren't unlucky boss, just w*nk again, and you started it by picking a sub standard team.

Wow. Not sure what else to say really. 4 in a row against you lot now, who'd have thought it? These annual visits to your forum are becoming a thing of tradition for me now... Cheers for the 3 points today, MUCH appreciated! ;) :)

Thought you and your manager fully deserved it, my only surprise was that you didn't break near the end to score another.

Totally agree with this . Micah Richards was good once but not any more. Must think he us Dani Alves.

One person cost us that game today and it's Pellegrini. Sick of his poor team selections and tepid like for like substitutions.

When it was 30 mins left today why didn't he take a CB off and throw Dzeko on. Play an extra striker and give them something to think about. Absolutely clueless. We've qualified from an easy champions league group - anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded. If Mancini had been given £100m to spend I'm convinced we'd be better off than we are today. Not good enough.

Its always sad to say goodbye to old friends and unless we get relegated this year then its goodbye from us, will deffo keep an eye on you in the lower leagues.!!

very sad....very sad indeed..brings a tear,it really does.... ;)

Everything was wrong about today. Pellegrini picked the wrong personnel and the wrong formation. After their 1st goal you knew it was going to be one of those days. YaYa is living on reputation IMO. He thinks he can stroll around the pitch and opposition players will fear him cos of the "hype" that follows him. As for him being captain - i didn't see one ounce of leadership from him today. The game just passed him by and his laziness rippled throughout the whole of the team. A true captain barks orders and gets peoples heads up and encourages the team. We made O'Shea and Brown look like Maldini and Puyol today by the lack of pressure we put them under. They are second bottom for a reason! FFS. Until our collective attitude changes as a whole unit i expect more of these typical City results against us. Just play our best 11 every week unless injuries say otherwise and let our first team players get used to each other. Use the cups to tinker about in.
