Was there a ref on the field? Thought he handled the game well which allowed the game to flow.
Craig Pawson.
I think the only thing was Sergio's fantastic run from his own half before his shot went wide, but his arm had been pulled just before the shot (none of the TV commentators even noticed) and that could have been brought back for a free-kick.

What about the one where the fella just upended Nasri right in front of the ref and ref played on. It was surreal....and I know Nasri can be a fairy, but he just got kicked up in the air!!

I just laughed. That and one of theirs not getting a yellow for pulling one of our players back, then he went and gave Boyata a VERY dubious yellow because he caught Fletcher in the back as Fletcher went down a few mins earlier. That was a bit of shit reffing, but all in all, made Jones look even more pathetic!

Oh, and linesman opposite dugouts missed a good game, too! Number of times he just stared at ref with his flag down, just waiting for ref to bail him out with a call, then flag was seriously raised in direction ref pointed! Joker, that linesman!

Speaking of surreal, Spiderman's saunter across the pitch was like watching a prank video! He literally walked across the entire width of the pitch, with everyone watching, walking past our players and pretending to spin his spidey web at them! Then, gets to other side COMPLETELY UNFETTERED, nonchalantly steps over the hoarding and puts his arms behind his back for the stewards who are moving as slow as Spider-Man did across the field....followed by the obligatory frog march. I think everyone was just kind of stunned at how otherworldly it was.
The TV stream I was watching just focused on the ref at that time, had to assume that someone was on the pitch, didn't know until later that it was a superhero.

cameras missed that, the commentator reckoned he was knackered !!. Shame he was fouled , a goal there would have been the cherry on a very rich cake. The game was played in a good spirit on the whole, even so the ref played his part well

He wasn't that super. Brave man though, wearing pants that tight with virtually nothing in them. You'd thought he would have had the sense to put a couple of socks down there or something.

Judging by his body language, I think he was surprised and emabarrassed at just how little attention he received. He's probably wondering why he bothered.

In terms of surreality it didnt come close to the Everton fan handcuffing himself to the post.

Judging by the standard of refs going around he was pretty decent,no needless/harsh bookings,no match defining decisions and thats what would u want from a ref,he was pretty good in my opinion

Btw,what was the commotion in one of the boxes full of blues?they had to go back inside..im talking about you, fanzone danny! I also saw you rock up on your minibus at the main entrance, superstar status!

I don't know.

At least he's fit now. I think he's struggling a little at Sunderland. Not surprising as he was out for so long. But he'll come good if he keeps getting games

SAFC behind the scenes build-up.

Pants at the end saying hello to all his ex team mates and Vinny is there too

I wonder how many other clubs have copied our tunnel cam?

What's all this?

I thought all these bloody 'mercenaries' hated each other!
