Sunderland.

When you consider that clubs have been thrown out of the FA Cup for fielding ineligible players, SAFC have got very lucky

I can't believe you thought it would even reappear.

Well you did misspell registered.

It was done with the deliberate intention as to how an Eastern gentleman is often perceived in making a sentence in pigeon English.Obviously not done with intent but the PC Brigade thought otherwise.

Sunderland lost all the games mentioned apart from Southampton which they drew and MK Dons which they of course won. No attempt to bend the rules in my eyes. Honest mistake. Not seeking unfair advantage. Diving and pressuring the Ref far worse in my book. Deduct points for that and United get relegated.

I know it's the Prem rather than the FA Cup and under different control bodies but little teams have been kicked out of the comply for less.

I do feel that they should lose points. Winning or losing the actual games shouldn't effect any punishment

Very lucky not to have been chucked out of the league cup though, there's definitely been teams thrown out of the FA Cup before for fielding ineligible players.

We have been lucky, but it's not as normal a case as if we had bought someone.
Ji was our player...contracted to us etc... But we loaned him out, we didn't get the clearance upon his return.
We realised in November, immediately told the FA, and promptly sacked the person who should have taken care of it.
We are in the wrong clearly, and yes we had only 1 point from 8 games in the period the player was playing...BUT...we broke the rules....if we stay up (which is unlikely), it could be West Ham and Tevez all over again.

Football governance in this country is as good as the worst in FICKFUFA. The rule states that they lose any points gained, but it seems the PL rules/FA rules are followed as rigorously as the FArce's disciplinary system is a model of best practice.

Something stinks. If they manage to stay up by a very small number of points, there could be hell to pay.
