Can't believe they've got away this is.
And no points deduction is getting away with it.
Something stinks. If they manage to stay up by a very small number of points, there could be hell to pay.

If we are to be penalised for points won while he played, it will be 1 point.
We lost 3 in the league, drew 1, and the 5th game was MK Dons in the cup.

The fact you didn't gain pointswise isn't the issue and I accept it was a honest mistake but if it had been Stockport they'd have been bummed.

No; I'm on about the lack of punishment for the clear offence. Haven't clubs been docked 5 or 10 points for fielding ineligible players before?

I think 3 is standard...but not 100% sure....sadly for me, it isn't going to matter this season! I don't understand the leniency tbh, my assumption is that it is due to the fact he was actually our player, had already played for us, and returned from a loan......but then again, second guessing the FA is about as much use as second guessing FIFA!

looked at there remianing games - they are down again - sad, Unfortunately there is just not enough money in sundelland to attract top players.

one of my favourate clubs. Shame.

If Sunderland get relegated they will break the record , for the most times in going down .In the Premiership . At the moment they have gone down 3 times the same as Crystal Palace , Leicester and themselves . Sunderland have a proud record of going up and down .

I think that's the difference - you weren't fielding an un-registered or suspended players as other's have when they've subsequently been docked points, you didn't seek international clearence from the German FA on his return to the club; which, in the grand scheme of things is as petty as it gets bureaucracy wise.

You have to wonder why the hell you'd need international clearance from the German FA?! What the hell has it got to do with them in the first place? A Sunderland player has returned to Sunderland, why should the German FA have to provide international clearance for him to be able to play for Sunderland again? What if they didn't provide the clearance, what then? Are we saying that the German FA could block him playing for Sunderland? Seems farcical.
