Given the hostility from the usual suspects - I'm beginning to think it may not be that bad a thing in the long-run.

Los clubes españoles se preparan para detener el fútbol el 28 de octubre
Javier Tebas ha convocado una Asamblea Extraordinaria un día antes para poner en la mesa la opción de parar la competición si el PSOE y el PP no...www.cope.es
Spanish clubs are going on strike to force the government to create a law to block the superleague.
To sum it up - Tebas and the majority of clubs believe they need the €2Bn CVC deal to survive, and they think the possibility of a superleague coming along and taking Barcelona, Atletico and Real away from the league is going to kill the CVC deal and threaten the long term survival of La Liga.
So they will go on strike from next Friday if the Government doesn't put in an ammendment to a big Sports bill it's voting on soon to block any future superleague.
Given the hostility from the usual suspects - I'm beginning to think it may not be that bad a thing in the long-run.
It looks like this is raising its ugly head again. Nop prizes for guessing who is behind it.
