I simply can’t see this being sustainable. Think it would have been a disaster for the clubs involved. Don’t think the notion will ultimately work. Don’t believe there’s the demand or appetite for this ‘product‘ and too much naked resistance for this to succeed.

I genuinely believe it would be a huge mistake for those involved.

I thought that when the old G14 threatened a breakaway many years ago, but UEFA realised there was money to be made and changed the structure of European competitions. - If the ESL mob can convince UEFA there is something in it for them, they may go with it.

Edit edit: Doesn't mean they can withhold approval unfairly. I expect the ECJ in their judgement will criticise UEFA for not having already formulated guidelines and that then it is done and dusted.

Great news and hopefully kills off the ambitions of the super League clubs, it certainly weakens their case.

Two clubs for sale is an after effect for failed SL
yanks wanted more money, didn't happen. Not that we stayed away but they were in for more money

English clubs can't, Johnson made sure of that.

English clubs don't need to join because the PL is so successful and generates huge incomes. But there is a big problem for clubs in italy, Spain, and Germany who can't get the same broadcast revenues from their domestic leagues.
